AICPA Fellowships for Minority Doctoral Students
These competitive fellowships are available to minority candidates who have been accepted into a doctoral accounting program. Fellowships of up to $12,000 (recent awards have been at the $8,000 level) are awarded once a year to full time minority accounting scholars who show significant potential to become accounting educators. Deadline: April 1st of each year.

Children Affected by AIDS Foundation
The sponsor provides funding for organizations providing direct care, support and assistance to children, age birth to thirteen years, who are HIV+ or otherwise affected by HIV/AIDS. Practical Money Skills for Life
Practical Money Skills for Life is an award-winning, teacher tested and teacher approved financial education program. It is available for free, in English, spanish and Chinese and is designed for teachers, students, parents and consumers. This free educational resource provides teachers with lesson plans (kindergarten-college) mapped to their state education requirements, as well as teacher guides, overheads, instructional videos and CD-ROMs. For students, there are interactive games and calculators designed to teach financial responsibility and important concepts such as earning, saving and budgeting money.
Project LAUNCH
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is soliciting applications for Project LAUNCH (Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children’s Health), a new grant program designed to promote the physical, emotional, social, and behavioral health of young children, birth to 8 years of age. A wide range of early childhood service programs can be provided through Project LAUNCH grants including mental health consultation to promote more effective child care and early education programs, parenting skills training and other family support services. States receiving these grants will fund local providers of these services.
Project School Emergency Response to Violence (SERV) Grants
This program, administered by the U.S. Department of Education, funds short-term and long-term education-related services for Local Educational Agencies (LEA's)to help them recover from a violent or traumatic event that disrupts the learning environment. Immediate services assistance covers up to 60 days from the date of the incident. Extended services assistance covers up to one year from the incident.

The College Board Inspiration Awards
Every year the College Board honors three outstanding public secondary schools for exemplary work in improving the academic environment and helping economically disadvantaged students achieve the promise of higher education. We seek secondary schools that are truly a springboard to college, despite the social, cultural, and economic barriers that stand in the way of their students. Winning schools initiate unique programs and create partnerships among teachers, parents, community organizations, and local businesses to help more students attend college. Three winning schools receive $25,000, and five honorable mention schools receive $1,000 each.
The Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship
The Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship is sponsored by the U.S. Congress and the German Bundestag and provides 250 American High School students (including those from Puerto Rico) with scholarships to spend one academic year in Germany, living with a German family, and attending German High School. A scholarship winner has the unique and priceless opportunity to immerse himself or herself in the diverse and rich culture in Germany while living with a carefully selected family. The program stresses equality and accessibility, and is not only language intensive, but also focuses on the civics and government of Germany, making it an amazing opportunity for any student interested in the German language, international relations, government, or economics. Lastly, there is no language requirement for the scholarship; we are simply looking for students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, who are between the ages of 15-18, and who want to achieve.
