Centering Corporation and Grief Digest Magazine
Centering Corporation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and resources for the bereaved. Centering was founded in 1977 by Joy and Dr. Marvin Johnson. Today we have over 100 books and for children and adults, My Friends Emotion Dolls, a Memory Bag for children, five videos and caring cards, plus over 200 books and resources from other publishers. We continue to provide educational offerings and workshops for caregivers and families.
Comfort Zone Camp
Comfort Zone provides grieving children with a voice, a place and a community in which to heal, grow and lead more fulfilling lives. Locations in Virginia, Massachussetts, Texas and California. CZC is a great resource for school counselors to refer students and parents to who have dealt with the death of a family member. Funding provided by New York Life Insurance.

Compassionate Friends
This goal of compassionate friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. The organization has available a brochure for teachers and counselors.

Grief at School
Grief at School was developed by the American Hospice Foundation. Here you will find materials to help address children's grief, including articles, tools, resources such as guidelines for running a grief support group for teens, fact sheets and more. Failure to address the needs of grieving children can have short-term effects on their school performance and serious consequences later in life. Schools can play a vital role in helping their pupils come to terms with losses and preparing them for life’s inevitable tragedies. Teachers, counselors, and other school personnel have considerable influence in the lives of students, especially for those for whom school assumes the importance of family. Children often look to their teachers and counselors when they need help in overcoming problems that are difficult to discuss at home.

Grief Watch is a ministry of Metanoia Peace Community, a congregation of the United Methodist Church in Portland, Oregon. The Grief Watch mission is twofold: first, to offer spiritual, emotional and other support to persons who are grieving, and second, to assist organized efforts which address the systemic injustices within our society which are the source of grief for persons who are poor and marginalized.

Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund serves young people whose mothers are terminally ill or have died. Our mission is to bring joy and comfort to children and teens by helping them keep alive traditions and simple pleasures they shared with their mothers. To support young people in adapting to their mothers’ illnesses or deaths Mommy's Light's key initiatives include: Free direct services to eligible children and teens, and The development, production, and distribution of education materials targeting grieving children and the adults who live, or come into contact, with them.
